Upward Bound

The Upward Bound Program at Williamsburg Technical College is a pre-college, academic enhancement program designed for first generation, low-income students or those students with a high risk for academic failure. The program is designed to motivate students by developing those skills which will enable them to complete high school and make a successful transition into postsecondary education. Interest forms can be picked up from any one of the three high schools in the County, from the Upward Bound office at WTC or you can  click here.

Student Government Association

The WTC Student Government Association (SGA) is the official organization for coordinating student activities on campus. The president of the SGA serves as the student representative to the College. The association is composed of all students enrolled in diploma, degree, career development, and certificate programs at WTC. Its function is to ensure that open communications are maintained between students and the administration. Executive officers, program representatives, and alternates are elected to the SGA council. Students are encouraged to participate in the elections and activities of the SGA. For more information, contact Student Affairs.


Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

WTC’s Alpha Sigma Gamma chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society recognizes and encourages academic achievement of two-year college students and provides opportunities for individual growth and development through honors, leadership and service programming. WTC PTK advisor is Minette Gentry Hudson.
