The drafting and design technician is specially trained to have a constructive
imagination that cultivates the perceptive ability to think in three dimensions
and draw in two, and to visualize quickly and accurately. Technicians add
the proper mixture of mathematics and related sciences to resolve engineering
problems.
The Drafting and Design Technology program provides wide job opportunities
to graduates who transform engineering ideas into drawings and specifications.
Opportunities for employment include companies in consulting engineering,
manufacturing, machine design and related engineering specialties.
