

Williamsburg Technical College recently hired Dr. Nathaniel Nelson as a program counselor with the Upward Bound department. Nelson has previously served as a principal in both Fairfield County and Clarendon One school districts. He receive his bachelor’s degree from Benedict College and went on to receive a masters degree, an educational specialist degree and a doctorate from South Carolina State University. He and his wife, Patricia, live in Greeleyville and have three children. In addition to his duties at the College, Nelson is a deacon at St. Asia Baptist Church, a member of the National Association of School Administrators, a member of the Midlands Regional Education Center Advisory Board, a member of the Fairfield County Rotary Club, and a member of the South Carolina Association of School Administrators.
