

Progress Energy Gives Scholarship Money to Williamsburg Tech
Mindy Taylor (right), manager of community relations with Progress Energy, and Dr. Cleve H. Cox, president of Williamsburg Technical College, exchange the check for Progress Energy’s gift to the College in the amount of $1,000 for scholarship use. Once a recipient is named, the Progress Energy Scholarship funds will be distributed to the recipient in two payments of $500 for fall semester and $500 spring semester. Preference will be given to a customer of Progress Energy who is enrolled in a two-year degree program in an electrical related field. The recipient shall be selected and the scholarship awarded without regard to race, sex, color, creed, religious preference, age, national origin or handicap of each candidate.
