Williamsburg Technical College Recognized Statewide

Several Williamsburg Technical College employees and the College’s honor society were recognized during South Carolina Technical Education Association’s (SCTEA) February conference.

Employee recognition as “Educators of the Year” was spurred by nomination from the College’s employee base. The Alpha Sigma Gamma chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society was recognized as second-place winner in the Association’s Student Community Involvement Project. The WTC PTK has sponsored such community-enhancing events as canned food drives for St. Anne’s Catholic Church, assisting with Meals on Wheels for Vital Aging, raising money for the Red Cross, and donating to a local high school honor society trip. PTK is also active on campus assisting as hosts for various events and sponsoring food and bake sales for faculty, staff and students.
