Williamsburg Technical College Student Initiative Program Accepting Applications
The Williamsburg Technical College Student Initiative Program is currently accepting applications for Spring 2010 enrollment. The WTC Student Initiative Program helps area males and females between the ages of 16-21 acquire the necessary skills to obtain and retain employment which can lead them toward self-sufficiency. The target population includes those who are out of school and those without a high school diploma or GED.
Recruitment efforts for the program include making presentations to area residents and offering assistance in completing the application process to enter Williamsburg Technical College and the program. Many current WTC students are already taking part in the initiative and are utilizing the various services and training programs provided by partnering groups including Williamsburg County Adult Education, Black River Healthcare, Williamsburg County Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and Williamsburg Enterprise Community.
