

WTC Quarles Award Presented
Williamsburg Technical College adjunct anatomy and physiology instructor Dr. Alex Hemingway from Andrews (center) recently received the 2009 Quarles Excellence in Teaching Award from Clifton Elliott, dean of instruction at the College (left) and Cleve H. Cox, president of the College. The Quarles Award is presented to an adjunct faculty member nominated by students and faculty members on the basis of excellence in teaching. The Quarles Award is named in honor of the late Dr. Ray Quarles, Jr. of Kingstree who served as an adjunct physics instructor at Williamsburg Technical College.
