Hemingway Courses to be Offered by Williamsburg Technical College

Williamsburg Technical College will offer English Literature II and Western Civilization to 1689, a freshman-level history course, during spring semester at the Hemingway library.

The English course (ENG 206) will be taught by Charles DeMay on Tuesday evenings from 6-9 p.m. beginning January 12.  The history course (HIS 101) will meet on Mondays from 6-9 p.m. under the leadership of Alan Harrelson. Both courses are part of the South Carolina university transfer agreement.

ENG 206 is a sophomore/junior level course that requires that the student has completed ENG 101 and 102 in college. The course is open to students who are enrolled in Williamsburg Technical College or other colleges and live in the area.

HIS 101 is a freshman/sophomore level class. It does not require pre-requisite courses. Admission to this course is based on test scores on ACT, SAT, or the Williamsburg Technical College placement test.  This course is open to high school students, students who currently attend WTC or other colleges, or persons who would like to learn more about early western civilizations.
