Williamsburg Technical College Barney and Louise M. Easterling Scholarship Awarded

 

Lisa Miles from Kingstree (center) recently visited with Barney Easterling, Martek senior vice president for manufacturing, (right) and Louise M. Easterling, member of the Williamsburg Technical College’s Foundation board, following their presentation to her of a scholarship named in their honor at the College’s scholarship awards ceremony. Miles is majoring in health science, practical nursing.

 

Recipients of the Easterling scholarship must maintain a 2.0 grade point average.  Preference is given to residents of Williamsburg County and the scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and book charges up to a maximum of $1000 per year ($400 fall, $400 spring, $200 summer) awardable after any state or federal grant awards have been deducted from tuition, fees and books.

 

Gifts made payable to the Williamsburg Technical College Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, are tax deductable. Williamsburg Technical College remains dedicated to providing quality, affordable, and accessible opportunities for students to achieve their educational goals in a fiscally, administratively, and academically sound and supportive environment.
