Receives Final Pledge Payment from Firestone

The Williamsburg Technical College Foundation recently received the final pledge payment from the Bridgestone Firestone Trust Fund for the College's Campaign for Community Enrichment.  Presenting the $10,500 symbolic check to college president Dr. Cleve H. Cox (left) is Dave Mahan, plant manager of Firestone Building Products Company in Kingstree. Firestone was the first corporate sponsor to make a significant pledge of $101,250 to the Williamsburg Technical College Foundation’s Campaign for Community Enrichment. The money will be used for significant expansion needs at the College. Firestone has also made contributions to the College’s scholarship drive, the Campaign for Educational Enrichment, which will provide financial assistance to qualified students paid for by the interest on the corpus of the donation through the Firestone Endowed Scholarship.
