Diploma in Cosmetology

Upon receipt of the diploma in cosmetology, an application will be submitted to the state board of cosmetic art examiners. Students must successfully pass the exam to become licensed cosmetologists. Persons applying for admission to the cosmetology program must have proof of 10th grade completion (diploma or GED certificate/scores). Possible occupations include hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists;  makeup artists, theatrical and performance; manicurists and pedicurists; skincare specialists.

Associate in Applied Science
Major in General Technology-Cosmetology

The Associate in Applied Science degree with a concentration in Cosmetology is designed for the student seeking to become a licensed cosmetologist with additional skills in busi-ness management. Students must successfully pass the state board of cosmetic art ex-aminers exam to become licensed cosmetologists. Successful course completion and licen-sure may qualify graduates to work in most hair or nail care facilities. The Small Business Management component will provide necessary skills to manage one's own hair or nail care facility.
