Williamsburg Technical College, located in Kingstree, SC, is currently accepting applications for the full-time faculty position of Welding Instructor.  There is a need to fill this position for the current fall semester.

 

General Duties:  This full time permanent faculty position will be responsible for instruction in the welding technology department to include courses covering oxy-fuel cutting and set up, blue print reading, safety, SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW.  Along with these welding processes, the candidate will be required to teach students in classroom lecture and lab scenarios.  The welding instructor duties will also include maintaining accurate expense reports, maintaining student records, and other activities as assigned. 

 

Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements:  This position requires an Associates Degree in Welding, or an Associates Degree with a concentration in welding, or a certificate in welding with 5 to 7 years experience as a welder.  National Certification with NWS (National Welding Society) preferred. 

 

Salary:  Commensurate with education and experience.

College Level Academic Tutor  

(Temporary Position)

LOCATION:   Williamsburg Technical College 601 MLK Jr. Ave    Kingstree, SC  29556

OPENING DATE:      September 9, 2009                       CLOSING DATE: until filled

 

Williamsburg Technical College is accepting applications for College Level Academic Tutors.  These are part time positions consisting of 8 to 20 hours per week. 

 

General duties are as follows:  Academic tutors will assist students in studying, preparing for exams; and reviewing class assignments and reading materials.  They will also provide academic support and suggestions for improving study habits.  Prepares weekly and monthly tutorial reports.

 

Essential Requirements:  Qualified applicants must have an associate or bachelor’s degree in the specified subject area.  Applicant must provide an official copy of college/university transcript.  Must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, computer and communication skills.

 

Salary:  $8.00 - 12.00 per hour.

Part-Time Continuing Education Temporary Instructor Positions

The Williamsburg Technical College Division of Continuing Education needs part-time temporary instructors for training classes currently being developed. 

 

Instructors are needed on a part time temporary basis in the following areas: 

 

Introductory Computer/ Internet

Customer Service

Project Management

Phlebotomy

CNA (days & evenings)

 

The development of these programs is expected to be completed in the near future.  The classes will be held on various days and times, both day and evening.  In an effort to fill these part-time instructor positions, resumes and applications will be accepted at any time for these positions and will be held on file for 12 months.
