Associate in Applied Science Degree:

Major in Early Care and Education

 

The Associate in Applied Science degree with a major in Early Care and Education is designed to prepare individuals for employment in a variety of educational and child-care programs for children from birth through school age. Graduates are prepared to assume positions in programs such as Head Start, Early Head Start, public schools as para-professionals, childcare, afterschool care, public or private preschools or kindergartens, or working with children with special needs.

 

The WTC Associate in Applied Science degree in Early Care and Education is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). As an accredited program, several colleges in South Carolina have agreed to accept Early Care and Education coursework into a baccalaureate degree through articulation agreements. Please see your program advisor for details.
